Dr. Neal Hebert is an Assistant Professor of Theatre in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts at Grambling State University. He is the author (together with Jon Cogburn) of Kayfabe Nation: Professional Wrestling, Donald Trump, and the New Cynicism.
In this episode, we do a philosophical analysis of WWE SummerSlam 2026. We start with a general overview of SummerSlam, referring to some of the themes explored in Kayfabe Nation. We do a match-by-match analysis of the two nights, and we end with some final thoughts about the event and the current state of WWE.
